Vision statement
This idea; to Suffer to Prosper, is as old as time. The give and take cycle, the unity of opposites, is fundamental to our existence. Most any endeavor involves a process of effort and sacrifice towards growth. We are all expending hopeful energy in a quest to reach our goals, whatever they may be. We are all searching for meaning in this life. We are all searching for connection, compassion. We want to be apart of something bigger than ourselves. This brand was created to unite and shine light on the beautiful people who embody and embrace this universal truth, while serving as a worn reminder that with unrelenting faith our visions can and will come to fruition, and our efforts won’t be in vain. Offering a narrative that speaks to both the human experience and the eternal journey of the soul, we are cultivating a community that ignites and instills a fire and faith in one another that perseveres through trials and tribulations for the greater good.
Le Sceau des Saraph
“The Seal of the Burning Ones” Le Sceau des (French) translates to: “The Seal of the” Saraph (Hebrew) translates to: “Burning/Burning One(s)” “Saraph” Used 7 times in the Hebrew bible in reference to both the highest order of angels, the seraphim, and what could be considered the lowest order of creatures, the serpent, as it was condemned to crawl on its belly and eat dust in Genesis. The translation of saraph is burning, or burning one(s). “Burning” In the context of fire or heat, burning can be used as a purifier, and can be used to emphasize passion and energy, or it can be a destroyer, and emphasize pain and suffering. Used as both a descriptive term for something purifying and passionate, the term burning could also spark thoughts of something painful and destructive. It is the correlation, or seemingly contradiction, of definitions of the word saraph that makes it suitable in terms of being part of the definitive seal of the brand; as one of our main goals as portrayed by the two intertwining ouroboros serpents in the seal, is unification, even and especially of opposites, as seen all throughout our world in different forms. This unification is clearly referenced in the name, Suffer to Prosper. The idea of suffering in order to prosper, is depicted by the ouroboros, satisfying their hunger yet killing themselves in the process. The ouroboros is a dramatic symbol of integration of opposites and circulatory processes, applicable to any circumstance or endeavor. The serpent's cyclical nature implies an ongoing journey of self-discovery and enlightenment that intertwines with the divine. The passion cross represents sacrifice, redemption, and the triumph of life over death. The vertical beam represents the divine, transcendent realm, while the horizontal beam represents the earthly, mortal realm. By combining these symbols, we're emphasizing the harmonious coexistence of seemingly contradictory forces. The balanced arrangement of the ouroboros around the cross symbolizes equilibrium and harmony. It suggests a holistic worldview where the spiritual and material, the finite and infinite, are in perfect balance. The combination of the cross and the ouroboros depicted by our seal, is ultimately in representation of the ongoing cyclical nature of life, the unity of opposing forces in this cycle, and in this unification, transcendence through love and acceptance. This faith and acceptance of the process is what allows us to transmute our pain into power, our suffering into prosperity. Onward and upward. Our seal also draws inspiration from the following verses: Numbers 21:8-9 (Old Testament) The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived. John 3:14-15 (New Testament) "Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life."
